a-ha – The Movie

Three musicians, all in their fifties, are back on tour. They have fans in every age group and play in huge sold-out arenas around the world. They travel in black Mercedes limousines – each in its own – stay separately in luxury hotels and have separate dressing rooms in the backstage area every night.

The film A-Ha: The Movie will be released in theaters next month, so get ready to be soaked in another wave of 1980s nostalgia before you leave the house. A total of twenty-five markets, including Los Angeles and New York, will screen the film, which is based on the Norwegian band of the same name, in April.

Despite the fact that A-Ha is likely best known for their iconic song “Take On Me,” which was followed by an equally memorable music video, the band has been touring constantly for decades, establishing one of the most enduring bands in the industry, keeping together through thick and bad. The film is being produced to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the release of the song “Take On Me,” as well as the release of the music video for the tune, which is still one of the most popular songs of all time. To be honest, play this song in any bar or club and you’ll see an entire roomful of strangers caterwauling out their screechiest high notes in an attempt to mimic A-Ha frontman Morten Harket’s famed high vocals.

An upcoming film, A-Ha: The Movie, will depict the narrative of the band’s beginnings by following Harket, keyboardist Magne Furuholmen, and guitarist Pl Waktaar-Savoy from their humble beginnings in a small-town Norwegian town to their meteoric ascension to the top of the international music charts. The documentary explores the difficulties that arose as a result of their spectacular rise to fame, as well as how it affected their relationship with one another and their perception of their own music. The DVD includes interviews with all of the band members as well as footage from the band’s lengthy and successful recording career.
