An Islamic organization has issued a warning to Turkey’s President, Erdogan, as he heads for Nigeria today.

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has issued a strong warning to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, requesting that he refrain from pursuing opposition figures in Turkey.

MURIC chastised the president ahead of his state visit to Nigeria today, Monday.

In a statement issued by its director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the Muslim rights group accused Erdogan of extra – judicial killings, torture, mass executions, and extended incarceration of opponents and critics, notably members of the Hizmet Movement.

The President is scheduled to sign a number of commercial agreements with President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria.

Erdogan’s visit, according to MURIC, leaves a bad taste in the mouth due to his alleged undemocratic and dictatorial policies in Turkey.

“On the 15th of July, 2016, he staged a phony coup to legitimize massive constitutional changes, and he arrogated extensive powers to himself as president,” MURIC stated.

“Irregular arrests, torture, political assassinations, and long jail terms for opposition figures and critics, notably members of the Hizmet Movement, followed.”

“Key members of Hizmet’s traveling passports were seized, and their possessions were confiscated.
Thousands of them were imprisoned without a proper trial.
The group’s members who were outside of Turkey were barred from returning.

“Though Hizmet is not a political organization that poses a danger to Erdogan’s leadership, the group had become immensely popular, and Erdogan, like many dictators and tyrants, was envious of it.”

In Nigeria, Erdogan employs his ambassadors to harass Turkish residents and members of the Hizmet Movement who are providing humanitarian aid.
They were deemed persona non grata in Turkey and were denied entry to their own country.
Their travel documents were confiscated, preventing them the ability to return home.

“Erdogan also employs his Nigerian ambassadors to identify Hizmet members as terrorists.”
This is a nefarious plot to persuade Nigerian security agencies to detain, threaten, and punish innocent migrants and asylum seekers.

“Family members they left behind in Turkey are also not permitted to go to Nigeria to reunite with their loved ones.”
As a result, we have Recep the tyrant impersonating a liberal, Tayyip the dictator impersonating a democracy, and Erdogan the bully impersonating a hero.
Erdogan has forcibly removed spouses from their wives and children from their parents, fearful of his own shadow.

“MURIC declares definitely and definitively that Hizmet members are peace-loving individuals dedicated to serving Nigerians and other people across the world.”
This is accomplished through building international level elementary and secondary schools, as well as universities and hospitals.
They also aid in the construction of boreholes in Nigerian schools and villages.

“Hizmet is thus only a network of humanitarian workers dedicated to bringing humanity from ignorance to knowledge and from poverty to the peak of economic liberation.”
This is the epitome of humanity’s service.
How can anyone in their right mind call such a movement a terrorist organization?

“MURIC opposes President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s double standard and hypocritical pretensions.
We demand that he respect the privacy of Hizmet members in Nigeria.
If Erdogan wants to be accepted by the world community, he must throw open the doors of Turkish jails and torture chambers.

“The entire world now recognizes Erdogan as a staunch opponent of democracy.
Fundamental human rights granted by Allah, including as freedom of expression, movement, association, and the rule of law, are alien to Erdogan’s political ideology.
Turkey has devolved into a massive prison camp under the control of a ruthless dictator.

“We call on the international community to act in the issue of Turkish political prisoners.
Thousands of people are imprisoned without charge or trial.
Erdogan’s operatives are torturing far too many people.
Hundreds of Turkish people with loved ones living abroad should be permitted to leave the country.
Amnesty International and all other civil society organizations across the globe are urged to speak out against Erdogan’s inhumane treatment of his perceived adversaries.

“We advise President Muhammadu Buhari to be careful of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s theatrics as the two nations pursue economic partnerships.”
Erdogan is the modern Balkan fox, the Mediterranean’s Otto Von Bismarck, and the Black Sea’s Jekyll and Hyde.
Erdogan is untrustworthy.
He is devoid of any semblance of humanity.
