It’s a Political Assassination IPOB Expose Chike Akunyili’s Killers
It is claimed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that individuals who assassinated Prof Dora Akunyili’s late husband are running for governor of Anambra in the forthcoming governorship elections.
Former Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) was poisoned, according to the organization, because the perpetrators wanted to expose the death of former President Umaru Yar’Adua.
IPOB claimed that these same perpetrators were responsible for her husband’s brutal murder, Dr Chike Akunyili, who was killed at his home.
IPOB made these revelations in a statement released on Wednesday by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, which was made accessible to SaharaReporters.
It further stated that it had no involvement in the indiscriminate killings of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra on Monday, according to reports.
As previously reported, Joe Igbokwe, a Lagos APC chieftain and advisor to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, claimed that IPOB was responsible for the deaths in Anambra state.
As stated in the statement, the pro-Biafra group believes that “Some heartless politicians are using the situation in Biafra land to eliminate their political opponents while blaming it on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and we have raised the alarm about this on multiple occasions.
